Resolve Geo Pty Ltd have entered into a joint venture agreement with Syngas Ltd, an Australian leader in Synfuel production, over the Yalungah lease. ELA 5210 contains three brown coal deposits (north, east and west) which were identified through early Mines Department Coal Boreholes. Resolve personnel have modeled the seam distribution across the eastern deposit giving an estimated in-situ total of 179 Mt. The western area has been modeled at 4.27Mt. A further subcrop area with up to 20m of coal lies within the north east of the lease has not been modeled due to insufficient data but has been estimated to contain 33 Mt. Stripping ratios between 0.33 and 4.32 have been identified. Coal quality is comparable to other producing coal mines within the Latrobe Valley, Ash is approximately 6%, Total moisture is about 65%, Specific energy on an air dried basis is about 24 and volatiles again ADB range from about 44 – 51%
