EPM 18188 Burlington consists of 10 sub-bocks covering an area of 33km2 within the Etheridge Province of the Georgetown Inlier. The Etheridge Province is composed of variably metamorphosed, and deformed sedimentiary, and volcanic rocks of Palaeo- to Mesoproerozoic in age (Einarsleigh Metamorphics). These units have been intruded by Mesoproterozoic granitiods of serveal supersuites. Historically there have been numerous exploration and mining programs in the area of EPMA 18188 since the 1880’s. These have in the main targeted alluvial tin (cassiterite), and gold along the Tate, and Lynd Rivers, and their tributaries. Lode tin, copper, silver, and fluorite deposits have also been exploited in the past. The largest deposit in the lease area, and the one that Resolve Geo is targeting as a priority is the Burlington One tungsten deposit. At this site wolframite bearing quartz veins up to a metre wide in a 10-30m wide lode formation were investigated during the early 1980’s, with the result that reserves were calculated as 3.75 million tonnes of ore with a cut-off grade of 0.5% WO3 over a strike legth of 2500m, 2m wide, and to a depth of 25m. With current high prices, and a projected shortage of tungsten in the medium to long term make this a very attractive exploration and development target.
